Kendall and Welch Construction, was founded in 1996 by partners Damon Kendall and Ronald Welch. In 2007, we welcomed our third partner, Charles Tardanico, former owner of East Bay Builders. Each owner is fully committed to overseeing the construction of your home.
We are a full service company, with expertise in flood and zoning mitigation. Our specialty is in Custom Home Building, Renovations and Additions. We also do Commercial Building and Interior Build outs, Backup Power Solutions and Property Management.
Our Principals
Damon Kendall, President
Damon began his career in the building industry as a young man in Kansas, where he built whole homes with his dad in 1978. After moving to Cape Cod, he continued in the building industry, focusing on framing and finish carpentry. Damon and Ron met in 1991 and formed a business partnership in 1996.
With over 40 years of experience, Damon is a master craftsman with outstanding skills and a keen eye for detail. Damon has a wide range of knowledge in all areas of construction and management and strives for excellence in every project. Damon manages, supervises and coordinates the subcontractors on our projects.
Charles W. Tardanico, Vice President
Chuck’s love for construction began as a child when his dad involved him and his brothers in on the building of their family home on Bass River, South Yarmouth in 1947. After college, he took a job as an Industrial Arts teacher at Canton High School. Chuck continued building homes with his brothers during weekends and school breaks. In 1985, after becoming the Director of Occupational and Career Education, Chuck retired and began building full time. In 1991, Chuck moved to Cape Cod and started East Bay Builders in Osterville. In 2007, he became a partner at Kendall and Welch Construction, Inc.
With over 70 years experience, Chuck has a charismatic personality and a remarkable sense of humor that makes our work fun. His also has great wisdom and craftsmanship and his magnificent sense of style is reflected in all our projects. Chuck oversees our projects and specializes in sales and client relations.
Ronald Welch, Treasurer
Ron began his career in the construction industry as a young man after many years of managing his family’s local airline. He developed his love for the craft while watching his grandfather, a finish carpenter, when he was just a young boy. Ron built his first spec home in 1985 and hasn’t looked back since. He has had his hands on each phase of the building process, focusing for some seasons on framing and finish work and specialized in the fine craftsmanship of building stairs.
With over 30 years experience, Ron’s passion for building and his drive for excellence are apparent in all we do. Ron’s relational and management skills are exceptional and it shows on the jobsite in the way our team of subcontractors work together as friends. Ron oversees all Kendall and Welch projects and is responsible for the financial management of each job.

Our Process
If you are building a new home and want it customized to your family’s specific needs, you are wise to consider Kendall and Welch as your builder. With more than 140 years combined experience, our three principals have “done it all” and will patiently support you with the difficult decisions. We have an organized approach that does not consider every decision a change order, but rather as part of the creative process, which we love. Our large pool of professional subcontractors — many of whom have been with us for more than twenty years — work together as a team of friends who respect each other’s work and honor their deadlines.
It is our desire to not only create for you a beautiful custom home, but to help you enjoy the process of creating it.
